Personalized leather swag at Dreamforce created a huge buzz in San Francisco last week. Our personalized leather swag activation table had a 10 to 15 minute wait with lines that never stopped 8 hours a day, 3 days straight. To us, this is normal and happens at almost every event we’re invited to. People love customized leather gifts so much, they are willing to wait for them. We were even more popular than the Godiva® chocolate booth giving away free samples right behind us!
So, you might think waiting in line is a bad thing, but it’s actually pretty magical. As people stand in line, we watched business cards swapped, stories traded and people making contact instead of looking at their phones. At a tech conference, there is something to be said for this. The line got people talking to each other and networking. That is always a huge goal at any conference.
What was a little different about this conference, is our client, Salesforce, requested custom stamps to go along with the monograms. We were able to create two dies, one with Astro, the character they created and one with a campsite line drawing which was the theme of the conference. We can now create custom dies which go with any monogram and can be added at the beginning, end and even the middle. People LOVED them!
We personalized over 2,000 luggage tags and leather charger rolls in three days. At the end of the last day, we had people hanging around our booth until the event closed at 6 pm. Security had to literally escort them out!
Our activation doesn’t take up much space. We just need a 6 ft table and two chairs. We’re very easy to fit in most any footprint at a tradeshow or event.
