With a career spanning over 27 years, she has consulted on event activations worldwide, engaging audiences with her fast, precise decorative skills.
In 2020, during the pandemic, Desiree and Inkwell Designers® received a gold medal award for Most Innovative Product by Counselor Magazine, a distinction awarded by the Advertising Specialty Institute. This was in recognition of her mask hook design, which supported over a thousand healthcare workers across the country during the pandemic.
As a serial entrepreneur, Desiree launched her first business, Bella Web Design, Inc., in 1998, followed by Inkwell Designers in 2015. Her deep expertise in web design and online marketing has played a pivotal role in the growth of her many ventures, helping her serve over 5,300 companies globally.
Known as the “Fastest Decorator in the Country,” Desiree’s ability to engrave or emboss on a variety of surfaces without pre-drawing or layout prep has made her a sought-after talent for large-scale events. She’s known for delivering flawless results in under a minute, making her services both time-efficient and cost-effective for brands such as American Express, Lexus, Chick-fil-A, Mercedes Benz, Christian Dior, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Whole Foods, Dillard’s, Macy’s, and many, many more.
Her passion for artistry began with calligraphy, which she initially learned as a child and rediscovered after a personal tragedy. This led her to apply her skills to engraving and embossing, launching what would become a rapidly expanding business that now includes services like sublimation, UV printing, and laser engraving. She is also a 3D printing designer and innovator as well as an inventor of a new decoration technique called cold embossing.
Featured on NBC Nightly News, CBS Atlanta, 11 Alive, USA Today, and with her own podcast, Desiree’s media presence reflects her wide-reaching influence. Additionally, she is the author of the Knitting Pattern a Day and Crochet Pattern a Day calendars published in 2008.
A native of Atlanta for over 30 years, Desiree is also the mother of two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys singing, knitting, crochet, cross-stitching, embroidery, hand engraving, leather embossing, acrylic painting, and riding her Triumph Speedmaster and driving her personal race car.
