Leather Patch Monogramming Event for Levi’s Grand Opening Huge Success

Leather patch monogramming is the hot new trend that is taking off at events worldwide. When you add this service a live event, it’s almost guaranteed to be a huge success.

When the marketing company, MKTG in San Francisco, reached out to us in September, they were looking for a unique experience for their client, Levi Strauss®. Levi’s was having a grand opening in Plano, Texas in October. They wanted patches embossed and monogrammed in front of the customer. Their in-house tailor would then sew them on anything denim they bought at the store. We worked with local Atlanta company InTandem Promotions to create a unique patch for the event which we could also monogram right in front of customers. Shoppers loved this unique and personal service and couldn’t wait to see the final design.

We agreed to fly from Atlanta to Plano for the event to create a leather patch monogramming experience their clients would never forget. We are able to fly all over the world with our leather embossing and engraving equipment to both engrave and emboss items for companies worldwide. All we need is a table and a couple chairs next to an electrical outlet.

Our CEO, Desiree Colonna, is also our Chief Embossing Officer. She was able to go to the event and emboss over 250 leather patches in 4 hours. That’s exactly 1 patch per minute!

Customers loved the experience and stood in line waiting to get patches for themselves, friends and loved ones.

Personalized Executive Gifts Debossed for International Association of Flight and Critical Care Paramedics

Personalized executive gifts for a corporate convention are one of our specialities. However, a leather embossed pulaski cover is something very unique. A pulaski cover is the leather sheath used to protect axes used by firefighters and paramedics.

When the International Associate of Flight and Critical Care Paramedics (IAFCCP) contacted us about embossing the leather axe cover, we were very excited to create something unique and different. They wanted the cover of a pulaski axe debossed with their logo. (Debossing means imprinting the logo without any foil or extra color. The die simply presses right into the leather and creates an impression.) This presented a challenge because the leather item was a very odd shape. There was also a snap in the way of the machine head. However, we are always up for a good challenge so we took it on!

We were able to order the logo die for them and create one-0f-a-kind personalized executive gifts for a convention. The real trick was the convention was within a two week period and they needed the cover within that short timeframe.

Not only were we able to deboss this leather executive gift, we were able to beat their timeframe and they received it days before the convention.

As you can see, their logo debossed beautifully into the leather pulaski cover and created a very unique executive gift for their convention. They were extremely happy with our work and are looking forward to working with us again in the future.

Book Embossing at Cisco Booth Most Popular Swag at Grace Hopper Celebration

Book embossing was a huge hit at the Cisco booth at the Grace Hopper Celebration in Orlando, FL. Everyone who came up to our booth told us our swag was the best at the convention. That meant a lot because we were competing with brands like Apple, Google and Microsoft.

When Spoon Exhibits & Events hired us to emboss books at the event, we couldn’t wait. We knew it would be popular, but we were really surprised once the event started.

Word spread quickly after the first few hours and people flocked to our booth to get their books embossed. By lunchtime, there was a line wrapped around our large booth. People waited in line at the booth for three days straight to get their notebooks embossed with their monograms in gold or silver foil or debossed with no color.

The reason book embossing was so popular with this mostly young, millenial crowd was because personally embossed books made them feel very special. Cisco wanted swag that would be powerful and wouldn’t be lost to the dark and unused swag corner we all have in our homes. They created a booklet to go along with the notebooks which had journal prompts inside. Cisco wanted the books to be more than just another piece of convention swag, but something they could use to write down their goals and dreams for the future. The idea worked!

This convention attendee was so excited about his monogrammed notebook, he agreed to talk about his book embossing on camera and tell the world why his book swag was the best at the entire convention.

Even Cisco employees stood in line to get their books embossed. Liz Centoni, Cisco Senior Vice President and General Manager of Computing Systems Product Group, couldn’t wait to get her own book stamped. She even asked Desiree to emboss her personal wallet.

Each book took about a minute to emboss. The personalized swag was so popular, we ran out of books on the third day! We embossed over 1,400 notebooks in three days. We even had people from other booths and companies such as Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft come by and get their own notebooks stamped. Most important of all, we had fun with our attendees! We loved talking to them and engaging them as we embossed their books and they knew we truly cared about them. That made all of the difference.

Personalized Beekeeping Gloves Third Anniversary Gift for His Honey

Personalized beekeeping gloves as an anniversary gift? Absolutely! As the traditional gift for third anniversaries, leather has come to represent the durability of marriage. Nothing could mean more to someone that an engraved leather gift that’s, actually, very useful and represents a meaningful passion. It’s a thoughtful way to show your love for your special honey. (Pun intended.)

At Inkwell Designers℠, when we say we can add lettering the anything and everything, we mean it! We’ve embossed, engraved and embroidered some unique things, but these beekeeping gloves were really different and not something we ever expected to see in our studio.

A few weeks ago, a gentleman called us from Boston. He wanted something unique for his wife who kept bees in the back of the yard. He wanted to give her a pair of personalized beekeeping gloves. He had a quote in mind for one glove, “The hum of the bees is the voice of the garden.” and he wanted to wish her a Happy Third Anniversary on the other glove.

We used a woodburning tool to engrave or deboss the gloves permanently with calligraphy and some artwork. The white leather burned to a nice, dark chocolate brown which is very easy to read. This is the same tool we use on our customer’s baseball gloves. We were very happy with the final result and now have a new and unique piece to add to our portfolio.

The client is very happy with the personalized beekeeping gloves and is excited to give them to his wife. We’re so glad he trusted us with this project and hope she loves them.

Wedding Chalkboard Signs Created for Atlanta Couple

Wedding chalkboard signs are one of our specialties. We love when couples challenge our artists to create custom wedding chalkboard signs based on their names, dates, monograms and wedding themes.

Our chalkboard artist, Meg, really hit these signs out of the park with her beautiful calligraphy and artwork. The seating chart below is just an one of the two signs she created for this local Atlanta wedding. She also created the welcome sign in the picture above.

The couple provided their own frames and Meg custom cut the chalkboard signs to fit the frames. Alexandra and Gregory were very happy and blown away with the final artwork. Meg took a lot of care in listening to the clients and creating exactly what they wanted for their wedding day. We pride ourselves on taking a lot of time to talk with the bride and groom before creating the actual wedding chalkboard signs so we can ensure the final design is exactly what they wanted.

Personalized baseball bats, baseballs and baseball gloves are becoming very popular with our local baseball teams. The main reason is to keep children from losing their baseball equipment by either leaving them behind or, worse yet, having their baseball equipment stolen.

Personalized baseball bats and gloves make it more difficult for a child to lose them and it also deters other people from stealing their sports equipment.

We have two options.

On brown, gray or white gloves, we take a woodburning tool and we can create any font you like including script or block print. The burning is done free hand, not by machine, which means we can take extra care with the baseball equipment and make sure it isn’t ruined by the machine itself.

We can also use a special embossing technique on any glove color including black and dark gloves by bonding a special vinyl to the glove with low heat which won’t hurt the leather but will be permanent. This allows you to choose any font, any phrase, any color, even logos! We offer holographic finishes and foils as well in many colors.

We can turn orders around quickly in most cases. We can add a name, a song lyric, a favorite poem or any encouraging words you want your child to see when they play.

Personalized baseball bats and gloves discourage others to try and steal equipment because these are already branded with the child’s information.
