Advantages of Laser Engraving
Laser engraving offers numerous advantages over traditional engraving methods. One of the key advantages is the precision it offers. Laser engraving machines use focused beams of light to remove material, resulting in precise and detailed engravings. This level of precision is difficult to achieve with other engraving techniques.
Another advantage of laser engraving is its versatility. Unlike traditional methods that may be limited to specific materials, laser engraving can be done on a wide range of surfaces. Whether it’s wood, metal, glass, acrylic, leather, or even stone, laser engraving can create stunning results on various materials.
Additionally, laser engraving is a non-contact process, meaning there is no physical contact between the engraving machine and the material being engraved. This eliminates the risk of damage to delicate or fragile objects, making laser engraving suitable for intricate designs and fragile materials.
Applications of Laser Engraving
The applications of laser engraving are vast and diverse. In the business world, laser engraving is commonly used for branding and promotional purposes. Companies can engrave their logos, slogans, or contact information on various items such as pens, keychains, trophies, and promotional products. Laser-engraved items not only serve as effective marketing tools but also leave a lasting impression on customers.
Laser engraving is also popular in the jewelry industry. Precious metals like gold and silver can be intricately engraved with designs, patterns, or personalized messages. This adds a unique and personal touch to jewelry pieces, making them more meaningful and sentimental.
Furthermore, laser engraving has found its way into the world of personalized gifts. Whether it’s a wedding gift, anniversary present, or birthday surprise, laser-engraved items offer a personal touch that is cherished by recipients. From photo frames and wine glasses to cutting boards and phone cases, the possibilities for personalized gifts are endless with laser engraving.
The Process of Laser Engraving
Laser engraving is a precise and controlled process that involves the use of laser technology to etch or mark a surface. The process typically involves the following steps:
Design Preparation: The first step is to prepare the design or artwork that will be engraved. This can be done using graphic design software or by providing a digital file to the laser engraving service.
Material Preparation: The material to be engraved is then prepared by cleaning it and ensuring it is properly positioned in the engraving machine. This step is crucial to ensure accurate and consistent results.
Laser Engraving: Once the design and material are ready, the laser engraving machine is set up with the appropriate settings. The laser beam is then directed onto the material, removing or vaporizing the surface layer to create the desired engraving. The speed and intensity of the laser can be adjusted to achieve different depths and effects.
Finishing: After the engraving is complete, any debris or residue is cleaned off the material. Depending on the desired outcome, additional finishing processes such as polishing or coating may be applied to enhance the appearance of the engraving.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Laser Engraving Service
When selecting a laser engraving service, it’s important to consider several factors to ensure you receive the best results. Here are some key factors to keep in mind:
Experience and Expertise: Look for a service provider with a proven track record and experience in laser engraving. Check their portfolio or ask for samples to assess the quality of their work.
Equipment and Technology: Ensure that the service provider uses high-quality laser engraving machines and up-to-date technology. This will impact the precision and quality of the engravings. Size also is an important factor. Make sure they have a big enough laser to fit your project.
Customization Options: Different service providers offer varying levels of customization. Consider the options available, such as different fonts, designs, and sizes, to ensure your specific requirements can be met.
Pricing and Turnaround Time: Obtain quotes from multiple service providers and compare their pricing. Additionally, inquire about their turnaround time to ensure it aligns with your project deadlines.
Customer Reviews and Testimonials: Research customer reviews and testimonials to get an idea of the service provider’s reputation and customer satisfaction levels.
By considering these factors, you can make an informed decision and choose a laser engraving service that best suits your needs.

Party Table Decorations for Sugarbear Sleep
Party table decorations made of clear acrylic, laser cut and engraved, were the talk of the night at the Sugarbear Sleep launch party hosted by People® Magazine in New York City. We created custom stir sticks, food menus and drink menus specifically for the event. Laser cutting and engraving were needed in order to custom create the acrylic items they wanted at the event.
Party table decorations are always created with a theme in mind. The cute Sugarbear “bear” was the theme we used for each item.
The stir sticks were fun because we cut out the Sugarbear logo on them. That was an unexpected twist–get it?
The menus also had the bear engraved on the bottom. Party table decorations are always fun to create because we can get very innovative with our laser equipment.
The food and drink menus also carried the Sugarbear theme with the logo laser engraved on the bottom. We had to use a laser to cut the acrylic and to get the fine details our client was looking for. We can cut any shape and detail you’d like with our laser machine.
We laser cut and engraved all party table decorations with our studio laser. The frosted engraving turned out beautifully.
Our party table decorations were the perfect addition to this event which helped launch the new Sugarbear Sleep product. The event was hosted by People® Magazine and held in New York City. Our laser cut clear acrylic is the perfect modern accessory for any party and went with the entire theme. We can also find acrylic in any color you would like including mirror and frosted colors.
If you’re looking for custom party table decorations, we can help! We’d love to hear about your project and design items with our laser cutting and engraving service. Contact us at 833 INK-WE11 or 833 465-9311 before your next event.
Atlanta Silicone Engraving Now Available in Georgia
Atlanta silicone engraving services are now available in our laser engraving studio. What was once thought to be something which couldn’t be done is easy with a laser engraving machine. If your item is less than 2 inches thick, we can laser engrave it. Here is an Apple Watch band we engraved recently.
As usual, our customers encouraged us to create this process. We received a call from a local company who wanted to emboss their logo on several silicone items and that’s what started us looking into this process with our laser engraver.
Here are some pictures of our laser engraving process. Its like the story of the ugly duckling that becomes a swan. After we engrave the silicone with a laser, it looks like a hot mess of ash.
Once its cleaned off properly, it becomes a swan and, as you can see, our Atlanta silicone engraving process works perfectly! The engraving is a beautiful deboss, just like it looks when we engrave or deboss leather items.
You can see the depth we can get in each piece. We can control this to within a fraction of a millimeter. This baking mat was only .053 inches high. We were able to laser engrave the silicone within millimeters of the surface giving the perfect branding to this baking mat.
We can laser engrave Apple and other digital silicone watchbands, wristbands, parts, medical equipment, mats, silicone sheets, you name it as long as the item is less than 2 inches high.
Branded silicone items make great gifts which are inexpensive and make a lasting first impression. We can also engrave silicone wedding gifts, personal items and medical items coated with silicone.
If you have a need for our Atlanta silicone engraving service, please contact us at 833 INK-WE11 or 833 465-9311. With a little creativity, we can help you created a branded or personalized gift which will help set you apart from the pack!
Georgia Engraving Company Completes CVS Project in 24 Hours
Georgia engraving company, Inkwell Designers, performed a miracle this week.
It was a last-minute job most georgia laser engraving companies would have turned away. Not us. We were willing to try and make it happen. Once you step in the ring and face the challenge head on, miracles really do happen.
The call came in on Thursday afternoon around 5. A manager from CVS Corporate contacted us to engrave 10 leatherette notebooks as a surprise for her team on Monday. We had to get them back to her by Saturday.
The odds were stacked against our small Georgia laser engraving company. The biggest challenge is we didn’t have the notebooks they wanted in stock. We had to order them from a company called Johnson’s Plastics and hope and pray they came in the next day. To make matters worse, this was now after 4 pm on Thursday and we missed the overnight shipping cut off. We called and ordered anyway. The good news is the warehouse was located in Lawrenceville, GA and we are located in Woodstock, GA. The JP team members we worked with promised they could courier the books to us the next day and we’d get them by the afternoon. We placed the order and waited.
Johnson’s Plastics delivered on their promise! Sure enough, the notebooks arrived to our Woodstock Georgia engraving company studio by 3 pm on Friday. We had 3 hours to laser engrave them and get them to FedEx to ship out. Oh the pressure!
We were able to laser engrave the notebooks and get them all out to FedEx by 6 pm for a next day delivery on a Saturday within 3 hours! This was exactly 24 hours after we received the call from CVS Corporate. We performed a miracle because we believed we could, and we did it with no hesitation. Our Georgia engraving company became the little engine that could.
Needless to say, our contact at CVS Corporate was ecstatic! She literally squealed on the phone when we told her the notebooks were shipped and scheduled to arrive the next day. Mission accomplished!
When our customers call, we listen carefully and try our very best to make sure we deliver what we promise. Can we do this every time? Maybe not, but our little Georgia laser engraving company is willing to try and that’s half the battle. We also have a great partner in Johnson’s Plastics. They supplied the journals and really came through in a pinch with overnight shipping!
If you need laser engraving done for a last-minute project, please contact us at 833 INK-WE11 or 833 465-9311. We’d love to help!
Laser Engraved Trivets for Woodstock Coffee Bar
Laser engraved trivets make some of the best surprise gifts for our small business community around Woodstock, Georgia. We love to surprise our community and the people we do business with. These simple items fit the bill perfectly!
Our team loves great coffee. We were so happy to find out we had a couple wonderful coffee bars nearby in downtown Woodstock and decided to visit them.
One of the newer coffee bars is called Alma Coffee and is located in the Circuit in the Chattahoochee Tech building. They have only been open in that area for 6 weeks.
Our CEO, Desiree Colonna, decided to make them a surprise gift after deciding to subscribe to their coffee roasting service for the office. She went in and gave the owners a laser engraved trivet as a thank you for their delicious coffee and wonderful service.
They absolutely were blown away by the trivet and loved seeing their logo on it. The laser engraving was the perfect coffee color and looked great in their coffee bar.
They were so impressed, they asked us if we could do metal marking and asked us to mark their stainless steel coffee spoons with their logo. We used our laser metal marking technique to get the job done. They loved them too!
We can literally take a logo from the internet and laser engrave it on the trivet in less than 15 minutes. Our laser engraved trivets are 7 inches wide and are perfect to put a hot coffee pot or hot mugs on to prevent water marks or burns on furniture. They also look great just laying around the kitchen especially with a cute saying or your favorite logo. These are also easy gifts to give to friends, neighbors and clients. They are light and unbreakable! We can also create these in wood. Coasters to match? You bet!
We can add any logo or emblem you can dream of. We recently created this design for a real estate house closing. The new owner was a marine veteran and he loved it!
If you’re interested in having your own personal laser engraved trivets created with a cute phrase or logo, we’d love to help. We can create one-off designs for as little as $16. Bulk pricing is available and we can ship anywhere.
Please contact us at 833 INK-WE11 or 833 465-9311 and place your order!
