Our first custom printing event activation for Destination South Meetings and Events in Atlanta was a lot of fun! We custom printed slim can beverage holders on site at Two Urban Licks.
Our custom printing event activation features our service called sublimation.
First, a design is printed onto special paper. The inks that are used turn into gas when brought under heat, then combine with the fabric and permanently print onto the fabric. The effects are permanent and less prone to fading, as the ink is embedded in the fabric or substrate rather than simply laying on top like a normal print.
The process is almost like a tattoo, but instead of for your skin, it’s for your chosen product. The heat opens up the pores of the fabric, then with the applied pressure the ink cools and returns to a solid form.
We were able to print two different images on both sides of the slim beverage holder and add everyone’s name during the process. Everyone received their own name on their beverage holder at the custom printing event activation.
Guests had a great time watching their printed beverage holder come to life on the heat press. When we opened the press, they loved seeing the results. Our printing event activation was something no one had ever seen before. That is what makes it so unique.
