TRUST THE NFA EXPERTS WITH YOUR ENGRAVING NEEDS
Inkwell Designers® utilizes the latest in fiber laser engraving technology to exceed the BATFE requirements for engraving a firearm, receiver or parts. The ATF requires that all Form 1 short barreled rifles, shotguns, braces or suppressors be engraved with the manufacturer’s name (you or legal entity), city and state. Your Name / legal entity name and locale can be engraved any where it is visible and can be as small as 1/16″ in height. The minimum depth required by the ATF is .003″, but we always engrave deeper to handle coatings that may be applied in the future. We can engrave underneath an integrated trigger guard found on billet lowers and on the underside of a flared mag well. Keep in mind the text must be visible without disassembly.
SAME OR NEXT DAY TURNAROUND
If you are local to the Atlanta area we can engrave your item while you wait. Simply stop by during business hours. If you are a little further away, we will engrave your firearm the same day it is received and have it in the next day’s mail. NFA Laser Engraving – SBR / Form 1 engraving is handled in house. We do not send out to another company.
ENGRAVING MATERIALS AND LOCATIONS
Inkwell Designers can engrave on any aluminum, steel or titanium firearm / suppressor. Areas such as the front mag well must be flat and cannot be textured. Receivers do not need to be stripped prior to engraving, but do encourage our customers to remove items such as the stock, buffer, buffer springs, and buffer tube (if possible) to reduce the weight and size of your shipment. Due to technical limitations when engraving polymer, we do not offer a choice of location. If you would like a polymer firearm engraved, please call or email prior to shipment as the ATF requirements for polymer engravings have changed.
See the product pictures for location examples and if you have any questions or would like something customized, please contact us at 833 INK (WE11) 465-9311.
All firearms can be shipped directly to Inkwell Designers and will be returned via USPS priority mail signature required unless stated otherwise. Additional shipping charges may apply for large boxes or heavier than normal items. Shipping prices are based on striped receivers.
We do not currently accept 80% firearms for engraving/cerakote/gunsmithing work. If you have a PMF, please contact us to discuss options before placing an order.
